Proposal guidelinesSUBMISSION IS OPEN FROM 3RD NOVEMBER TO 1ST MARCH 2026 FOR SPECIAL SESSIONS, WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING COURSES !
FOR SUBMISSION, PLEASE USE THE DEDICATED PAGE AND PLEASE USE SPECIFIC TEMPLATE FOR EACH TYPE OF PROPOSAL (see below)
Special sessions can cover any aspect of ecological restoration, from practice to policy. They consist of a series of formal presentations (four to six per session) on a given topic or theme with broad applicability and appeal within the field of ecological restoration. Sessions can vary from 1.5 to 3 hours, with an adapted number of presentations.
Workshops can also concern any aspect of ecological restoration. Workshops are small, focused sessions that emphasise interaction, audience participation and group discussion. They are often led by a single organiser/facilitator or a small group of facilitators and aim to generate analysis and knowledge exchange around specific goals, challenges, problems or research gaps. They can be organised in different ways depending on the technical capabilities of the organiser (e.g. materials, room size).
Training courses can be proposed and have to focus on practical applications and professional development, with the intention being to impart specific knowledge, skills, or methodologies. They will be held prior to the start of the conference on Monday, 24 August and will generally run for one full day (e.g. 09:00–17:00). They can be submitted to specific fees.
