Arrival by train
Brest's train station is located right in the city centre. You can't miss your stop — it's the last one before the Atlantic Ocean! The high-speed train (TGV) runs from Paris Montparnasse station to Brest station. The direct journey takes approximately four hours.
If you want to see more of Brittany before reaching Brest, you can also book a regional train (TER). In both cases, you can bring your bike! Just specify this when booking.

Arrival by bike
For the most ardent sports enthusiasts or simply those who are concerned about their carbon footprint, you could also consider cycling the distance from Brest! Cycle routes are accessible throughout Europe and you can create your own itinerary here.
In Brittany, the Vélodyssée cycle route along the Nantes-Brest canal allows you to discover central Brittany, or you can choose the more athletic option of cycling along the Brittany coastline overlooking the English Channel and the Atlantic Ocean! If you only want to cycle part of the way, there are various connections in Brittany to reach Brest: by train from Nantes/Rennes/Saint-Brieuc/Morlaix or by bus from Carhaix.
Arrival by sea
If you are travelling from the United Kingdom, Ireland or Spain, you can choose to come by ferry with Brittany Ferries. You will arrive at Roscoff Harbour, from where there are various ways to reach Brest.

Arrival by bus
Bus companies such as Flixbus and BlablaCar Bus offer services to Brest's bus station, located right in the city centre. If you're travelling from Paris, expect an average journey time of 9 hours and 30 minutes. Tickets cost at least €17. There are other low-cost bus connections from Brittany. From Guingamp bus station, the journey to Brest takes an average of 1 hour and 35 minutes. Tickets start at €5. You can also travel to Brest from Rennes.

Arrival by air
Paris's international airports, such as Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Paris-Orly (ORY), offer direct flights to destinations all over the world. You can also arrive in France via Lyon Airport Saint-Exupéry.
From either Paris or Lyon, you can then take a direct flight to Brest. To reduce the carbon footprint of the symposium, we recommend taking a flight to Paris and then a train to Brest from Paris Montparnasse station.
